Robert W. Curley, Jr., OSU professor of Medicinal Chemistry, College of Pharmacy is among the 2009 AAPS Fellows announced Sunday (11/8) by the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. Curley has spent nearly 30 years researching the chemistry and biochemistry of vitamin A derivatives (retinoids). His specific interests include developing stable analogs of unstable metabolites of retinoids in order to improve their breast cancer chemopreventive and therapeutic activity and reduce their toxicity.
