College of Pharmacy Distinguished Lecturer Series to Feature Dr. David Angaran

The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy is pleased to present distinguished lecturer David Angaran, clinical professor of pharmacy at the University of Florida, on May 14 from 12-1 p.m. in 111 Parks Hall. Angaran’s seminar will be entitled, "Medication Therapy Management and the Communication Prescription."

Angaran is considered an expert in the areas of pharmaceutical care, medication therapy management (MTM), practice model development, continuous quality improvement, telepharmacy, and internet-based medication management and information services.

He has served in various roles to develop and implement novel MTM programs, including director of the MTM Communication and Care Center at the University of Florida, the senior director of interactive healthcare communications at Chronimed, Inc., chief clinical officer at, managed care practitioner in residence at the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, and vice president of clinical practice and education at Merck-Medco Managed Care, LLC.

A graduate of Drake University with a BS in pharmacy in 1968 and the University of Wisconsin with an MS in hospital pharmacy in 1970, Angaran has also taught and published at the University of Wisconsin, the University of Minnesota and the University of Florida.
