The College of Pharmacy's White Coat Ceremony was held on May 16, 2009, at The Fawcett Center on campus. The White Coat Ceremony serves as the official entrance into the pharmacy profession. It's also a way to celebrate the completion of the students' first year in the PharmD program. The convocation address was given by Marialice Bennett, RPh – Professor, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice and Administration.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a poster display set up in the lobby that the P1 students prepared about their geriatrics projects. Through the posters, family and friends were able to see hard work these students have put into their program.
A special thank you to Rx Scan & Uptown Pharmacy (in memory of Violet Berdine) and also to Walgreens for their generous support of the White Coat Ceremony.
