About the MS in Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency Program
The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Grant Medical Center, The Kroger Co., The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Riverside Methodist Hospital and Pharmacy Systems, Inc.
The Ohio State University has a long-standing tradition of Health-System Pharmacy Administration. Going back to 1959, this program has had more than 200 graduates, many of whom are nationally recognized leaders in pharmacy management. Our graduates include seven past ASHP presidents, three Harvey A.K. Whitney recipients, and more than 50 current directors of pharmacy.
It is not just the long-standing tradition that sets our program apart; it is also the thriving alumni community active in the Latiolais Leadership Program, which bears the motto "Enthusiasm for Excellence.” This group, consisting of past graduates strives to address contemporary issues and provide effective strategies for improvement in Health-System Pharmacy leadership.
The MS Health-System Pharmacy Program Committee oversees the program content and curriculum. This committee meets monthly, and comprises current health-system administrators and college faculty. The active participation of these pharmacy leaders allows the program to continuously monitor program quality to keep up with current trends in Health-System Pharmacy. Our goal is to provide our students the knowledge and experiences they need to be able to "hit the ground running” at graduation and continue the reputation of excellence of The Ohio State MS Health-System Pharmacy program.
