The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy has just wrapped up year two of the Pharmacy Buckeyes Building Community (PBBC) wellness campaign. On Friday, April 19, the college gathered for a PBBC wrap-up celebration and raffle.

Assistant Professor Kristy Jackson received the P3 teaching award at the start of the celebration.

The PBBC theme was established by the college in 2022 to address challenges of social isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic. Throughout the academic year, Wellness and Community Builder, Emily Keeler, organized events for college members to get to know each other outside the classroom.

With an emphasis on relaxing activities, the college hosted the following events:

  • Student financial series

  • Friendship Bracelet making

  • Buckeye keychain crafts

  • The Winter Hike Series led by faculty and staff

  • Hiking at Old Man’s Cave with Associate Professor Rebecca Lahrman, PharmD, MS, BCACP

  • Spring Wellness Walk with Dean Deanna Kroetz, PhD, BS Pharm ’85

  • Healthy snacks shared in the Dean’s Suite

  • Game nights

  • Heart month photo ops and door decorating contest

  • Buckeye Paws

  • Carving pumpkins

  • Group ride at CycleBar with Katie Watkins

  • Share Kindness Day celebration

  • Art Show

  • Graduate Student Appreciation Week

Thanks to everyone who took part in the events this year!
